I’m more amazed someone had the audacity to call an Element a truck.

I have two 300k vehicles from ~20 years ago , both of which will see 400k eventually. Modern (past ~25 years or so) cars are incredibly long lived if basic maintenance is kept up.

That makes me question their definition of “runs like a charm”

To be fair, you can probably fit more in the back of that than the bed of some trucks on sale today.

To be fair Pennsylvania plates and a truck that has probably not been washed since the dealer.

Well, the Germans have thrown every definition out the window, so this is not surprising.

Oh, I am not prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt. I’ve seen similar vans rusting in the center of panels which have been washed. It’s not like they invented automotive painting yesterday, This is a spectacular fail.

Now that I think about it, I’ve never actually seen a charm running anywhere.

I live in the Sonoran Desert and the front  axle on my Jeep started rusting. Had more surface rust on it than my ‘66 GMC.

Keeping the Chrysler theme alive, I’ll be replacing the clutch and associated parts on my 2011 Wrangler because the TOB ate shit at 80k miles. I’ve owned a ‘63 Corvair with who knows how many miles, an ‘83 325e with 230k+ miles  and a ‘91 Loyale with 180k or so miles that were on all their original clutches/bearings.
